Mattress Warranties

Full Warranties are what the manufacturer extends to you through your dealer. They basically guarantee that they have manufactured a good workable mattress. This is the type of warranty we provide. This is the only warranty you can rely on.

Extended Warranties are add-on warranties offered by the store that sells you the mattress. They are based on manufacturers suggested retail price (full retail), not drastically reduced pricing like ours.

Extended warranties work somewhat like a mileage allowance for a set of tires, your coverage decreases over time. The concept started as a gimmick to get you to come back to buy another mattress from the same store and has become part of the waterbed culture.

An Extended Warranty is covered only by the store where the mattress is sold. If you look at the big Internet waterbed stores today and just 5 years ago you will see a majority no longer have an Internet store.

Typically manufacturers list an Extended Warranty as a product benefit. Some stores are unaware this responsibility is theirs and an accidental deception arises. Because people move a lot and rarely keep receipts, few retailers ever see an extended warranty issue.

How long will a mattress last? Take proper care of that waterbed mattresses and it will probably last about 10 years. You have to add waterbed conditioner to your mattress on a regular basis and use a good cleaner/protectant so that the vinyl stays supple.

What is not covered by warranty? Manufacturers do not reimburse for holes put in the mattress after it leaves the factory.
