Making your mattress last longer
- Wipe down corners and top of mattress 3 or 4 times a year using cleaner protectant.
- Metal brackets inside of frame can wear on mattress. Use duct tape on any inside metal or rough areas of wood.
- Pulling the fill attachment on your mattress up and pushing it back down often causes excess wear. Leave attachment down in bed when possible. Use a Super Burper rather than pulling up the fill attachment if you need to let air out.
- Oil and salt from the body breaks down vinyl. Keep a thick mattress pad on mattress and periodically use cleaner protectant as in #1 above.
- If you need to move your mattress, be sure to vacuum it out all the way and hold that vacuum while you cap and seal the mattress. This will help hold the fiber payers in place.
- See Moving Draining in the Information area before contemplating a move.
