Installing a Protective Cover on your Waterbed Mattress

Step 1

This is the first stage of protective cover installation. Start with an assembled hardwood waterbed frame.

Step 2                              

install the heater or heaters if using 2 heaters.

Step 3

Installing a safety liner protects the outside of the protective cover and adds an additional layer of safety.

Step 4    

Be sure that the manufacturers label on the protective cover is at the foot of the bed. Unfold the cover and lay it out similar to the way the safety liner was laid out. The top of the cover lays over the top.

Take care with the zippers, too much stress and they will pull apart possibly causing damage.

Step 5         

Unfold and unroll the mattress into the cavity of the protective cover. Be sure the fill valve is located at the foot of the bed.

Fill with warm water. Replace cap and seal.Wipe up any excess water.

Step 6      

Zip up the top and you are ready to add your mattress pad and sheets.
